Apply for a Reid Health Community Benefit grant
Reid Health is pleased to present its 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). As federally required by the Affordable Care Act, this report provides an overview of the methods and processes used to identify and prioritize significant health needs in Reid Health’s service area. Reid Health partnered with Conduent Healthy Communities Institute (HCI) to conduct the CHNA.
This document represents the 2023-2025 Community Benefit Implementation Plan for Reid Health and is in direct response to the 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) conducted by Conduent Healthy Communities Institute (HCI) on behalf of Reid Health in conjunction with the communities within the service area. The Reid Health Governing Board approved this plan on January 23, 2023.

Financial assistance may be considered if you have uncompensated medical bills after you have been screened by one of our ClaimAid specialists.

Mental Health & Substance Misuse
These health needs were combined as an area of focus because they are often interrelated and it is difficult to impact one without addressing the other. Mental health was identified as the second highest need in the Reid service area. From community input, alcohol and drug use was cited as the most pressing health issue and substance misuse was identified as a significant need in all three data sources.

Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Weight
This health need was selected as an area of focus due to the vast impact that it has on many other health needs such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Weight Status was ranked as a pressing health issue in community input the community, and they rated it as the most pressing quality of life issue.
